Thank You Freshly Made Sketches and A New Change

It's that time again for a brand new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches .... and guess who's hosting?

Yep, it's me ..... I created this sketch with the idea of a large panel for a showcasing of colouring skills with some great stamped images, or how bout a collection/collage of stamped, layered images or maybe even some gorgeous patterned paper to take that focal point.  Just let your creativity shine and have fun!

This pretty stamp is called Stitches and Swirls from PTI, which has been coloured with copics, and as an extra touch a few dabs of liquid pearls were added to the centres.  Simple, clean and fresh ...

Finally, I have a little news to share ... this will be my final week on the Design Team at Freshly Made Sketches as I have decided to stand down and take up 3 years full time study into Nursing.  It is something that I have been wanting to do for some time, and now the opportunity has presented itself and the timing couldn't be more perfect.  I will also be finishing up with Stampin Up at the end of March, however it doesn't mean that I won't be crafting anymore .... it just means that it will be as a participant on the other side.

I am really looking forward to the new change and challenges that it will bring!

So, on that note I would love for you to join us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Now head on over check out what our talented DT have in store .... their creations this week are amazing!

Furthermore, a huge big Thank You to my team buddies at Freshly Made Sketches .... you are an awesome team and I have loved and enjoyed every minute working with you.  I am grateful for your support and incredible patience and I look forward to seeing you all on the other side.

With much love and friendship ....

With Sympathy - FMS #74

Woohoo, Wednesday again .... and that means we have a brand new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches!

We hostess this week is the amazingly talented Allisa of Rocky Mountain Paper Crafts .... ooh, your gonna love this sketch - it's one of her go to sketches, and I am sure it will become one of yours too!

I went CAS all the way with my card ... Using the top note die from SU for my top panel, then I die cut the butterfly, which was then used to emboss the outline of the butterfly.  The actual butterfly was coloured using copics and a sentiment was added underneath.  Finally, a few little rhinestones were added to complete my sketch components.
Come on over and join in the fun with us this week at Freshly Made Sketches ... and be sure to check out what our amazing DT have for your viewing pleasure!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Happy Birthday - FMS #73

Hi all ... we have a new sketch for you over at Freshly Made Sketches and this week our fabulous hostess is Jennifer Brum of Ladybug Designs.

I have used a standard card base of sahara sand, which has been teamed up with this free digital download from PTI.  I just love these neutral colours with this pop of blue/pool party.  I printed it out a couple of times and cut each piece of the focal panel to create a bit of dimension, which was then layered onto some Choc Chip card stock.  A further panel of choc chip was added with a banner of cork and some leftover scraps.  To complete the sketch elements - a simple, humble button was added!
Thanks for stopping by today .... now head on over and check out the awesome creations from our Design Team at Freshly Made Sketches!

Have a great and enjoyable week!

Wish Big - A Freshly Made Sketch

Happy Wednesday everyone, so glad you could stop by as it is a brand new sketch day at Freshly Made Sketches!  This week Cindy is hosting and she has one awesome sketch that I'm sure will be a keeper for many of you!

I am really drawn to this Calypso Coral (I know in the pic it looks orange), but it is such a pretty colour!  I have stamped the argyle pattern (PTI) and added texture with an argyle embossing folder (SU).  This gorgeous butterfly is from Hero Arts and the sentiment was die cut from the silhouette then a bit of shine and dimension was added with crystal effects.
I hope you join us in our gallery ... but in the meantime, head on over to check out what our amazing design team have for your inspiration.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

Be My Valentine - A Freshly Made Sketch

It's time for a brand new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches!

This week our hostess is the amazing Linda Callahan of Stamping Seasons.  It's such a cute sketch and of course the heart just gave way to a Valentine in the making.

I started off with Calypso Coral and stamped it with the newspaper background stamp from Hero Arts, this was then teamed up with a tag and a cute little heart.  I pulled out a long neglected stamp set Love Defined from SU and paired it with the sentiment banner.  Some teeny tiny hearts completed the card with a bow tied with twine.
We had an awesome number of cards in our gallery last week, so come on over and join us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  In the meantime, head on over and view the amazing creations by our DT.

Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome week!

Love at Freshly Made Sketches

Happy Wednesday and happy new sketch day from Freshly Made Sketches!

This week our fabulous hostess is Rita, and she has a great sketch for you to play with!  I love this one and it is going straight into my Favourites!!!

As you can see I had a bit of fun with the sketch.  I created a loop with the ribbon and left the top end open to add a bit of softness, I punched a heart out of cardstock and added a red felt heart in the negative space and finally some little letter stickers from the stash was created for my sentiment.  A little bit quirky, a little bit classic!

In need of some inspiration? Head on over to Freshly Made Sketches and check out what our DT have in store for your viewing pleasure.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Late, late, late ....

I am so totally late with my posting for Freshly Made Sketches this week .... time just slipped away!

Anyhow .... this week at Freshly Made Sketches our fabulous hostess is Linda Suarez, she has an awesome sketch for us and one that will certainly spark your creativity!

Black bow tie and a little bit a bling brought this card together for me.  Isn't this little bow tie just the cutest (from Lil Inkers).  This is one of my new acquisitions and of course I just had to give it a go ... so what better than a man card with a bit of houndstooth DSP and an argyle textured background, add some glossy buttons (which I die cut 3 times and added crystal effects over the top  for a fabulous shine), and lastly a few rhinestones to add a hint of sparkle.

Come and join in the fun with us this week .... the DT at Freshly Made Sketches have got some amazing samples for your inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
